Melbourne Fridays

Come along to Melbourne Fridays, a weekly get together (unless otherwise a posted).
This is your opportunity to meet up with AUWU members and get stuff done at the same time.
What we do depends on who shows up, and what needs doing. Typical activities include:
– printing and mailing AUWU leaflets and booklets to remote AUWU members
– learning your way around the NUW office environment
– discussing your personal job agency issues
– discussing and debriefing job agency issues and policy with AUWU Advocacy Officer
– researching changes to the jobactive deed
– phoning remote AUWU members to check in with current campaigns and other news
– training on AUWU digital platforms
– making banners
– brainstorming slogans, rally cries, tactics and strategies
– working on events and campaigns
– writing articles for AUWU newsletter
– updating AUWU website
– doing tasks for outreach and promotion of AUWU
It’s casual, informal, and fun.
No commitment, although the more you put in, the more you will get out of it.
Phone the AUWU Hotline to express your interest, or just show up!
Go to NUW reception and say you are with AUWU. They will help you sign in and call one of us to show you to office area.
