AUWU Geelong: Public Meeting

May 31, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm UTC+11

Do you agree that NewStart rates are too low?
Do you agree that high quality employment opportunities are lacking in Geelong?
Do you hate being called a ‘dole bludger’ and demonised by the mainstream media?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions: then join the Geelong Branch of the Australian Unemployed Workers’ Union (AUWU) for a public meeting.

Learn how we can mobilise and build a movement that can fight for the rights of all unemployed workers in our region and beyond and how you can be involved.

We will be joined by Owen Bennett, AUWU National President. We will also be joined by a representative from Ryan Carlistle Thomas (RCT) Lawyers to answer any legal questions you may have.

If you are interested in becoming more involved in the AUWU, or just want to learn more about our union, please come along.

All are welcome.

In solidarity,
William Luxford
Secretary, AUWU Geelong Branch
